THE stunning River Gums garden in Balingup will once again open to the public as part of the Festival of Country Gardens on 5-8 November, from 9.30-4pm.
River Gums is a four-and-a-half acre garden with a brook running through its centre. Four ponds are bounded by a large grassy area and cottage garden. The garden is a place of discovery – with magical spaces hidden amidst the plentiful display of native plants, hardy exotics and large shady deciduous trees.
Owner, Di Whincorp will be on hand to answer questions. On the Saturday and Sunday there will also be refreshments and plants for sale. Proceeds go to the Manjimup Wellness and Respite Community Centre (dementia specific) and Alzheimer’s WA. River Gums is at 57 Grimwade Road, Balingup.
