Balingup, explore the South West

Perth to Balingup

Balingup is 240 kilometres south of Perth in Western Australia, a leisurely scenic drive of approximately two and a half hours. Visitors can take either the Coast Road or the South West Highway from Perth to the regional city of Bunbury before continuing on the South West Highway to Balingup, a further 63kms south east of Bunbury.

Balingup is also easily accessed from the coastal regions of Busselton and Margaret River, both around a one hour picturesque drive.

Busselton to Balingup

From Busselton, visitors can take several scenic routes to Balingup, including taking the Vasse Highway from Busselton for about 40kms before turning left onto the Cundinup – Kirup Road. Follow the Cundinup – Kirup Road to the South West Highway, turn right to travel south to Balingup.

Margaret River To Balingup

From Margaret River township travel south on the Bussell Highway approximately 2.5 km before turning left onto Rosabrook Road, following this road to its intersection with Sue’s Road. Cross Sue’s Road to the recently sealed Mowan Road. Mowan Road will take you to the Vasse Highway north of Nannup. Turn left onto the Vasse Highway then right onto the Cundinup – Nannup Road (approx. 5kms). Turn right onto the Cundinup – Kirup Road, then right onto the South West Highway to Balingup.

Alternatively, follow Mowan Road to the Vasse Highway turn right to Nannup. From Nannup take the Balingup – Nannup Road through the Blackwood River valley to Balingup.

Balingup is serviced by a daily bus service.

Travel by TransWA using the Australind Train or bus from Perth to Bunbury with a connecting bus service to Balingup.
