View from Picnic Area
Balingup Brook originates in the Wilga and Noggerup Forest areas and flows through Grimwade and Balingup, merging into the Blackwood River at Wrights Bridge. There are several pools on the brook where you can fish and swim, and even kayak and canoe. Abundant rainfall in the cooler months keeps the brook flowing most of the year but towards the end of the warmer seasons only the pools contain water.
