Woodlands of Balingup is a 33-hectare farm situated on the corner of South Western Highway and Russell Road about 3 kilometres north of Balingup. The farm has been dog and cattle free for 10 years and feral cat and fox managed for 20 years and is home to a variety of native birds and animals in a landscaped environment. Production is mainly aquaculture with some cherries and experimental sandalwood.
Accommodation consists of two timber cottages in a duplex arrangement with a shared front and back verandahs.
“Blackbutt Cottage” has three bedrooms (1 Queen, 1 Twin and 1 Single) with a lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
“Jarrah Cottage” has two bedrooms (1 Queen and 1 Single) with a lounge, dining, kitchen and bathroom.
Cottages are let separately but are also suitable for friends or families travelling together but wanting separate accommodation.
Both cottages are fully furnished with beds made up. The cottages are situated in a bush setting adjacent to the 250 hectare “Race Course” bush reserve with walks in the reserve and around the farm with very low traffic frequency from Russell Road.
